Art-Deco, Gatsby Inspired Wedding

Sevan & Gregory

The Cathedral of Saint Vibiana

Inspired by a contemporary take on The Great Gatsby, Sevan & Gregory winter wedding featured a limited color palette of black, gold, and lush tropical leafy greens with overflowing orchids. The Cathedral of St. Vibiana was the perfect opulent backdrop for the dramatic black & gold elements, not to mention the bold dance floor. The bride's stunning Walter Collection wedding dress and couture veil was also on par with the sultry theme, bringing everything together for a truly unforgettable wedding.

Cinco de Mayo Inspired Rehearsal Dinner

Colony Garden - The Colony Palms Hotel - Palm Springs

When people think about hiring a wedding planner, usually they’re just thinking about the ceremony. But weddings are a multiday event. The celebration for this Palm Springs wedding began the day before with a rehearsal dinner on Cinco de Mayo.

Though the wedding itself was designed with the grandeur of an Armenian wedding, the Rehearsal Dinner invited in the boisterous fun and energy of Cinco de Mayo. Festive sunflowers carried in tin-can vases bloomed above colorful serape runners. Café style chairs, bright napkins, and special custom-ordered napkin rings tied together the Mexican flare.

Margaritas and Spanish cuisine fueled the evening, as over 200 close friends and family enjoyed the Colony Palms poolside terrace. As the sun dimmed, Laurel Events LA had carefully placed candles to compliment the outdoor bistro lighting and illuminate the evening in a glowing warmth.

Impeccable place setting despite adverse weather.

Saturday, the day of the wedding, brought pure excitement…as well as torrential wind! The weather made the early morning setup particularly challenging; meticulously placed napkins were blown into the pool, rose-gold flatware clattered across the table-tops. Fortunately, Laurel Events LA are professional wedding planners and event designers, and even a windstorm was not going to ruin a perfect wedding.

Using ingenuity and experience, Laurel Events LA overcame the challenging weather, and prepare beautiful napkin details with a fresh flower and hand-tied velvet ribbons on each place settings.

An extravagant head table for the bride and groom featured rose-gold chargers and rustic, vintage olive-glass goblets, hand-tied napkin ribbons, and exquisite florals.

The wedding seating design was a mix of bentwood chairs with hammered-brass, a-shaped chairs. The bright brass perfectly complimented the floral arrangements, rose-gold flatware, and brass lantern accents…making the hammered brass chairs an unconventional, yet inspired wedding seating for the ceremony.

The Palm Springs wedding ceremony took place in the Colony Palms courtyard, over a vintage area rug surrounded by brass lanterns and framed by two stunning, pillared floral arrangements. The bride wanted warm colors for her wedding, and the floral arrangements bursting with pink peonies and garden roses.

It was a very emotional ceremony, with the bride tearing with sheer joy! This wedding was a long-awaited moment; the dream was finally coming true.

At the end of the ceremony the guests showered the new bride and groom as they made their way down the aisle as a very happy, and brand-new husband and wife.

Arsine’s radiance as a mommy-to-be inspired us to go with blush tones, including velvet linens for a soft and sensual touch. We worked with Avant Garden to create the gorgeous centerpieces that reflected the early beginnings of spring, with light pink garden roses and a medley of fresh flowers.

We balanced Casa de Perrin's antique lace-trimmed chargers with a dash of modern shine by incorporating brushed 24k gold flatware. An assortment of vintage colored pink goblets added a dreamy swirl of femininity to each table, along with custom menus bordered with the same classic floral print as Arsine’s shower invitations.

Guests enjoyed fun games like guessing the correct baby food from various colorful containers and suggested baby names for Arsine. Each guest was treated to delicious mini meringue kisses tucked away in little pink boxes tied with green velvet ribbons by A Little Favour.

All About The Details: The Power of Wedding Ceremony Programs & Sweet Send-Offs

We often tell our brides and grooms that one of the best opportunities for guests to learn more about them is through a beautiful wedding ceremony program. Programs are wonderful because they serve multiple purposes, such as expressing gratitude to family and friends who are attending your ceremony, honoring loved ones who have passed away, introducing your bridal party, and educating your guests about your cultural heritage or faith. Your guests also have something to read before your ceremony starts!

We equally adore unique send-offs when the ceremony ends, because guests can effortlessly participate in your joy and add so much energy to your first walk down the aisle as husband & wife! Those moments make your wedding unforgettable for your friends and family. Check out some of our favorite ceremony programs & lovely send-offs from our Laurel Events LA Weddings below, and get inspired!

A timeless wedding ceremony send-off is lavender. For Arsine & Christian's destination wedding in Germany, guests were treated to delicately stamped pouches of lavender leaves which smelled just as wonderful as they looked. Lavender is a soothing flower and represents luck and devotion -- the perfect flower to shower the newlyweds with after they've exchanged their vows!

Many clients value their first walk down the aisle after their vows as much as they cherish the grand entrance at their reception. What better way to play up the thrill of saying "I Do!" than these adorable bells? Guests jingled these bells and cheered when Maryam & Chris kissed as husband & wife at their Hummingbird Nest Ranch Wedding

Equally important is the presentation - we paid extra attention to the signage attached to these bells. A beautiful yet playful element like this rarely goes unnoticed by guests. It is said that bells bring good luck to the newlyweds and announce the beginning of new life together!

Sarah & Ryan's Wedding at Calamigos Ranch was a perfect opportunity to use ceremony programs to introduce guests about the symbolic beauty behind Iranian wedding ceremonies. Their crisp program was the perfect way to explain the importance and tradition of a Sofreh-Aghd, which literally translates to "ceremony spread" in Farsi, initiating a bountiful new life for the freshly minted husband and wife.

Guests participated further in celebration when the ceremony ended, waving custom made wands with bells and white ribbons attached to them. How lovely having a chorus of bells announcing the new Mr. & Mrs.!

As an event management company, we strongly feel that guests will always remember your special day if they can connect to your culture and traditions, whether they are from the same background or not.

Many mixed faith couples opt for a ceremony program to highlight how their disparate faiths have more similarities than differences! Love knows no borders and neither should your guests with some insightful views on what you value as a newly married couple.

We were so touched by these gorgeous ceremony programs at April & Rob's Santa Barbara Wedding. Sticking to the coral-theme and also serving as a light fan during their summer afternoon ceremony, April & Rob were able to express their sheer love for all involved on their special day, while honoring those who were not with them anymore. These messages are a subtle, heartfelt way to incorporate the memory of loved ones.
