Cinco de Mayo Inspired Rehearsal Dinner

Colony Garden - The Colony Palms Hotel - Palm Springs

When people think about hiring a wedding planner, usually they’re just thinking about the ceremony. But weddings are a multiday event. The celebration for this Palm Springs wedding began the day before with a rehearsal dinner on Cinco de Mayo.

Though the wedding itself was designed with the grandeur of an Armenian wedding, the Rehearsal Dinner invited in the boisterous fun and energy of Cinco de Mayo. Festive sunflowers carried in tin-can vases bloomed above colorful serape runners. Café style chairs, bright napkins, and special custom-ordered napkin rings tied together the Mexican flare.

Margaritas and Spanish cuisine fueled the evening, as over 200 close friends and family enjoyed the Colony Palms poolside terrace. As the sun dimmed, Laurel Events LA had carefully placed candles to compliment the outdoor bistro lighting and illuminate the evening in a glowing warmth.

The bright brass perfectly complimented the floral arrangements, rose-gold flatware, and brass lantern accents…making the hammered brass chairs an unconventional, yet inspired wedding seating for the ceremony.
